Assisting Seniors in Preble County

We believe older adults should be able to stay safely in their own homes as long as possible. Since 2015, utilizing donations, grants, local contractors and volunteers, the Senior Home Repair Program has helped hundreds of eligible households in Preble County with yard clean-ups, electrical, plumbing, roof repairs/replacements as well as accessibility modifications including ramps, handrails, grab bars, easy open door knobs and ADA bathroom modifications.

To apply, you must be 60+ years of age, own your home, and reside in Preble County. Income guidelines also apply, and can be found on the application. Applications are available at hitfoundation.org, in the main office, or by emailing Aubrey@hitfoundation.org

Other qualifying repairs address substandard or unsanitary conditions such as ceiling, floor, wall, and roof repairs; plumbing repairs; and small-to-medium carpentry projects that address deteriorated conditions.
