Home is the Foundation board members are responsible for overseeing the mission and purpose of the organization. Its duties include participation in strategic planning and making policy decisions, overseeing and securing necessary financing of the organization and monitoring their execution. Members must be willing to attend the required meetings, follow through on commitments, and participate fully in the decision-making process. The board also presents the organization’s image to the community and solicits its support in achieving Home is the Foundation’s goals.

H.I.T. Foundation Committees

Senior Home Repair

Work with staff to develop program parameters, aid in networking, and help Preble County seniors in need of home repairs.

Homeless Services

Advocate for the homeless, implement strategies to prevent homelessness, and ensure quality case management.

Property Management

Oversee the development and implementation of tenant policies and procedures, recommend property rehabilitation, review and approve repairs and financial reports, and identify programs that help our tenants.

Finance

Assist the board in ensuring the organization is financially viable and meeting fiduciary and compliance responsibilities.

Development

Open doors to potential individual and business donors, coordinate special events, and foster relationships within preble county.
