At Home Is the Foundation (HIT Foundation), our journey began with one evening in late 2002. Our founder, Mary, was driving home in Preble County and was reminded that behind many doors in our community, families were struggling. She asked herself: How many children were impacted by poverty and inadequate housing? How did that impact their education? Their health? Their future? And so, a vision was born—"Everyone in Preble County should have a safe and affordable place to call HOME."
Since launching in 2003, HIT Foundation has continued to passionately pursued this vision.
